A compact contemporary home office
Our customers requested that our expert designers and skilled craftsmen create a contemporary dedicated workspace in their Welwyn home. We utilised a compact room and created bespoke office furniture that delivered a generously sized desk area and various storage solutions to suit their professional needs.
Striking colour scheme
High gloss monochrome finish
Our customer chose the modern lines of our Portofino range for their home office furniture. This was then coupled with a High Gloss Black fascia and complemented with a Dove White worktop. Not only did this create an eye-catching, on trend contrast, but the lustrous finish also reflected the light to create a sense of spaciousness in the room.
Overhead storage
Modern floating cabinets
To make the most of the room’s vertical space, we installed suspended cupboards with double height shelving. This was fitted to the corner and featured a curved front for a stylishly streamlined look. It was finished in our dove white finish to blend in with the existing colour of the office walls.
Functional features
Integrated LED lighting
We fitted a pelmet, which extended from the cabinet and across the window in the home office. It was finished in our matching dove white finish and featured integrated LED lighting. This provided additional lighting above the work desk for added convenience.
Complete convenience
Pull out printer shelf
In order to integrate the customer’s devices, we configured storage options into the fitted home office furniture. These included a pull out printer shelf, which was fitted to an open cabinet under the work desk. This allowed the client to enjoy full access to the printer when required, with the ability to effortlessly stow it out of the way.
Made to measure
Bespoke shelving unit
To provide a space for the customer’s documents and folders, we crafted and installed made to measure shelving. These were fitted against the wall to deliver optimal storage without compromising on floor space. The shelves featured modern clean lines and a co-ordinating dove white finish to tie in seamlessly with the rest of the office suite.
Shaped for comfort
Curved desk design
The desk was uniquely crafted with a curved shape. As well as creating contemporary aesthetics, this delivered a generously sized worktop space, while also allowing the customer to enjoy full depth leg room below for comfort throughout their working day.
Innovative additions
Pop up power point
The desk was fitted with a subtle chrome topped power point. Operating via a pop up function, it allows the customer to access multiple plugs and USB ports with a single touch. This provided our customer easy access to plug in chargers and gadgets from the comfort of their chair.
